G & L was retained by the Mount Pleasant Landowners Group in 2003 to act as Project Manager and Land Use Planner. Our role is to monitor and collaborate with the City of Brampton in the development of the Secondary Plan for the Mount Pleasant Area. The Mount Pleasant Secondary Plan Area consists of approximately 870 hectares and is bounded by Mayfield Road to the north, Mississauga Road to the west, Bovaird Drive West to the south and the existing Fletcher’s Meadow Community to the east. Mount Pleasant is a stellar example of a “Smart Growth” community; blending land uses, higher densities, natural areas and parks to build a transit-oriented and sustainable community. City Council approved the Mount Pleasant Secondary Plan Area 51 in February 2010.
